Aptela employees spread holiday cheer to local family
Vienna, Va. – January 10, 2008
Aptela, Inc., a leading business VoIP and hosted communications provider, helped a local family enjoy their holiday season just a little bit more this year. With the goal of giving back to the local community, Aptela partnered with a Fairfax, Virginia based charity to identify a family with several unmet fundamental needs. Aptela employees bought and delivered gifts of food, clothing, comforters, sheets, dishes, and silverware for the family of four, including three children.
“You should have seen the look on their faces when we dropped the gifts off,” said Gil Pabon, an Aptela employee. “Their faces just lit up…I won’t forget that anytime soon.”
Aptela received support from several retail chains including Mattress Discounters, Giant Food, and Performance Bicycle to provide the larger gifts. Mattress Discounters donated two mattresses, Giant Food provided grocery gift cards, and Performance Bicycle offered discounted bicycles to the children.
