About the Call Room on the Web Portal

The Call Room displays the active calls and gives the user control to disconnect, transfer, flip, record a call, or put a caller on hold.

Active Calls Display
This shows any active calls and their status.
  • Call: Shows the the caller name and/or number. Note that many calls have one or both of these items blocked, so you may not always see the 'real' information.
  • Status: Shows the status of the current active call.

Call Room Controls
  • Hangup:Disconnects the call.
  • Transfer Call: Transfer calls to voicemail, a contact in your Quick Dial list, another extension in the Directory, a number from your Address Book, or to another 10-digit "direct dial" number. 
    • Voicemail:If the call is just ringing or you are on the call, you can transfer the caller you your voicemail
    • Directory: Transfer to anyone in your company directory (this is similar to using ##3 from your phone breakout menu)
    • Address Book: Transfer to anyone in your personal Address Book
    • Direct Dial: Transfer to any 10-digit phone number
  • Flip: Transfers calls to another phone in your Find Me List.
  • Hold: Places the caller on hold. Clicking this a second time takes the call off hold.
  • Record:  Record a call. Recordings are saved with the call record and can be accessed via the Messages page, indicated by a triangle under the "REC" column. Click on the message and the recording will begin playing; you also can download the recording as a .wav file. Recording is purchased add-on feature.
    • Tip: Department recordings are accessed via the Messages page for the department. Users can access department recordings by selecting the department from the drop down under Browse Folders (lower right)
  • Notes: Take notes while on a call.  Notes are saved with the call record, and can be accessed via the Messages page, indicated by the notepad pencil icon under the "Notes" column.
