How to have your Voicemail Messages Emailed to you

Users can receive email notifications for voicemails.  See the "definitions" section below to learn more about the notifications settings.  All standard users and departments have notification options included with the extension. The Voicemail notification type notifies you of new voicemail messages via email, and can deliver the voicemail message content as an email attachment.  This is the most commonly used notification message type. Log in to the Aptela account either as the User or as the Account Operator Users: Select Settings Click on My Account Account Operators:  Select People from the Navigation Bar Click the name for the user(s) you wish to make changes to Scroll down to Notifications section Next to Voicemails, check the first two boxes (Enabled and Include Content) Enter the email address where voicemails should be sent in the Target Email Address field.  Separate multiple email addresses with a comma. Click Save at the bottom of the page Note: The Account Operator or Department Manager manages voicemail to email settings for departments. Definitions for the Notification Settings Enabled – Activates notifications for the selected message type(s) Include Content – Adds the message content to the email notification. Voicemails may be sent as .wav or mp3 files. Mark as Read – Marks messages in your Aptela message window as read messages. This setting is recommended for users who use email to manage voicemail messages. If you select this option, the voicemail indicator light on your phone will not flash when you receive new voicemails.  Target Email Address – Enter the email address where you want the messages to go.  Separate multiple email addresses with a comma.
