Directory and Department Commands
Conference CallingConference calls can be initiated and managed in the application. If conferencing is enabled for a department, that department is now also a conference. Any member of that department can join the conference by clicking join, or invite others by clicking invite. You can invite someone in your account directory, someone in your address book, any phone number, or everyone in one of your phone lists. Anyone joining or invited will receive a callback and be connected to the conference. There are also phone options for joining conferences; see the Knowledge Base Guide to Conference Calling for more information. Send Audio Message (Announcements)This allows anyone in the account to send a pre-recorded announcement to another person or department in the account. This is useful if you wish to have a common announcement waiting as a voicemail on several phones, or perhaps on all department member's phones. This can be done from the application (Directory) or from the Voicemail phone menu (log into your messages and press 7 for Announcements). The main difference between the phone menu method and the application method is that the phone method allows you to record and send a new message directly from the phone; the application method is better suited to recurring announcements that you have already saved as .wav files.
