Is my phone registered?

Your phone or adapter must be registered with the Aptela system before it will function. Phone registration is your phone letting Aptela know where to send calls to. If the phone is not registered, your phone will not ring and will not allow outbound calls.

The most likely cause of a phone not registering is either no network or a router/firewall that is blocking the request.

If you need help setting up a router or firewall please see these setup guides:

http://www.aptela.com/kb/idx.php/27/0/Firewalls--Routers.html

An easy way to tell if your phone is register is to look at the icons next to the extension number. If they are solid, the phone is registered, if they are hollow, the phone is not registered and will not work.

Here are examples:

- Polycom IP301 registered
- Polycom IP301 not registered

- Polycom IP430/501/601 registered
- Polycom IP430/501/601 not registered
