Excel Macro for Reports
|
Aptela Formatting Macros for reports v3.0 is now available. This version combines the traditional reports as well as supporting the new a5 product reports. The loading of this file is much simplified from previous versions; it simply needs to be saved into a directory on your computer (see the PDF file for instructions). For the new a5 product, log in as the Admin or any user with Reporting permissions and select the Reports tab. For the old a4 production, the Account report is accessible by logging in as the Operator. You will see the Report section on the bottom right of your screen. Enter in start and end times for the report (you can go back six months), and optionally you can enter Direction (Inbound Calls, Outbound Calls, or All), and you can also select to see only certain Users and/or Departments. Queue reports can be run by the Operator or any Queue manager; you will see report options in the Queue window. The macro works with the Queue "All Calls" report. Reports are exported to a CSV (Comma Separated Values) format that can be sorted, filtered, and formatted using Excel or another spreadsheet program. The Report Macro for Excel (see the Attachments to the right) will format the calls page and add other pages summarizing inbound and outbound call data. If you are new to csv files, be aware that, depending on the program you use to open it, you may see improperly formatted data that is difficult to read. Excel, OpenOffice, or Numbers (Mac) are the recommended programs, however, the data is readable by any program that will parse CSV files including many database or reporting programs. The included Macro is only compatible with Microsoft Excel and currently tested with Office 2003 and newer for Windows. Other versions may work but are untested. Version 3.0: Support for Aptela a5
