How to Setup International Calling. How to Call International Numbers.

International calling is an add-on service. If you would like to add this service to your account, the Account Operator must submit a support request to Aptela Billing.

For customers with international calling enabled on the account, you are ready to get started.  The below is a quick outline of the basics to get you started. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section for answers to commons issues.


Step 1: Setup all appropriate users for international calling
Only the Account Operator can setup and manage users for international calling.
  1. Log in to the Aptela account as the Account Operator
  2. Select People from the Navigation Bar
  3. Click the name(s) for the user(s) you wish to enable with international dialing
  4. Scroll down to Call Customization section
  5. Next to Permit International Dialing, select Yes.  Select "No" to disable international calling for the user.
  6. Scroll to the bottom and click on Save
  7. The user is now able to call internationally

How to Call International Numbers
Only users who are setup by the Account Operator to dial international numbers can dial internationally (see above). Below is the dialing format to call internationally.

Dialing Format
      • 011 + the country code + the city code + the number

Troubleshooting

  • What if I hear fast busy signals after dialing the international phone number?
    • If you experience fast busy signals when attempting to dial internationally it is either because your Aptela account or your user extension is not setup for the feature.  To resolve the issue, refer to your Account Operator.
