Only the Account Operator has the ability to manage the account hold music.

  1. Log into www.aptela.com/my-account as the Account Operator
  2. Select Settings from the Navigation Bar
  3. Within Preferences, look for the section named "Call Tree Settings" and click on Hold Message
  4. To change your hold message, Browse your hard drive to upload your file. Note that the file format must be in one of the supported formats.  As an Aptela customer, you may also use the hold music from the Media Library.  Simply click on the Media link (to the right of Browse), go to the System folder, then to the Hold Music folder, and find the hold music you would like
  5. Click Yes next to Use Custom Message
  6. To change the hold music back to the default, click on "No" next "Use Custom Message"
  7. After making changes, click on Save
  8. The change will take effect within 15 minutes

Note:  The hold message for the account is the same for each user and department.  Extensions cannot have a different message.
