What Audio Formats can be used with Aptela?
Aptela currently supports the following audio formats:
All custom recording requests through Aptela will be in the proper format. Why do we use this format? The 8 kHz, 8-bit and 8 kHz, 16-bit formats are the common formats of the PSTN (public switched telephone network). VoIP does not have same bandwidth restrictions of calls traveling over the PSTN so VoIP-to-VoIP calls can realize better quality signals. As new codecs and signaling protocols are standardized, we will incorporate them into our technical infrastructure. At this time, Aptela does not support MP3, ACC, WMA or other audio file formats. |
