User Settings for Unanswered Calls

Unanswered calls can be sent to Voicemail or the Call Tree.  Users who choose to use "Voicemail" may opt to use the Aptela System Voicemail or the voicemail of a Find Me List (FML) entry.  All standard users and departments have the Aptela System Voicemail included with the extension.

The No Answer Destination (NAD) determines if unanswered calls should go to Voicemail or the Call Tree.  If using voicemail as your NAD, you may also choose to disconnect the caller or send the caller to the Call Tree after the voicemail is left.

Voicemail Options
The Aptela System Voicemail stores voicemails in the web portal.  Aptela system voicemail messages can be retrieved from the "Messages" button of any Aptela provided SIP phone (dial *8 for any other SIP phone), the Messages page in the web portal, or as an attachment if you choose to receive voicemail notifications via email.

Users may also opt to use the voicemail of a Find Me List entry and not use the Aptela System Voicemail.  This is useful for users who manage calls and voicemails via their mobile phone.
  • Notes:
    • Users cannot access voicemails via Aptela features (listed above) when using the voicemail of a FML entry.
