How to Setup Your Find Me List to Forward Calls to a Toll Free Number

The Find Me List is used to forward phone calls to another 10-digit phone number and/or to another user's SIP (desk) phone.  It can also be used to forward calls to a Toll Free Number (TFN).  DO NOT use the forward feature on your SIP phone to route calls to other destinations. Doing so will cause calls to route directly to voicemail.  Always use the Find Me List. Important: Please be sure to read through the "Important Notes" below before adding a TFN to your Find Me List. Log in to Aptela either as the User or as the Account Operator Users: Select Settings from the Navigation Bar Click on My Account Account Operators: Select People from the Navigation Bar Click the name for the user(s) you wish to make changes to The user's Edit page will open Scroll down to  the "Find Me List" section Click Add Entry (a green plus sign toward bottom right of the box) Enter a "Name" (e.g. Toll Free) Enter the Toll Free Number (no specific format is required) If the number requires an extension number enter the "Extension" Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save (Important!) Tip: To make changes to multiple users, Aptela recommends that you login as the Account Operator. ***** Important Notes: Many Toll Free Numbers are equipped with their own IVR or Call Tree. When calls are forwarded to these destinations, the Aptela system will no longer be in control of the call and will not be able to route the caller back to your Find Me List for additional routing options. For this reason: Make the TFN the last entry on the list.  Any other order will prevent calls from routing to the other entries. Set the "Dialing Method" to Sequential.  Any other settings will prevent the call from routing to the other entries. Enter only one TFN per Find Me List.  Adding multiple TFNs will prevent the call from routing to additional entries.   To Setup your FML for more advanced functionality: Choose the Dialing Method that fits your needs Adjust your Ring Times Enable Trust for VM Access Choose what to do with unanswered calls Change the order sequence in which your FML entries ring Learn to enable and disable FML entries Learn to delete FML entries
