Eyebeam or XLite Softphone hangs up after 1 minute

A recent version of the Eyebeam and XLite phone include a bug where it can hang up after 1 minute of a call.

There is a work around by doing the following:
  • Open the Eyebeam / XLite
  • Go to SIP Account Settings
  • Go to the Advanced Tab
  • In the Session Timers field, enter a very high number like 9999
  • Save and restart the phone
It appears that in some cases the Eyebeam phone uses the session timer even if the option is not enabled. This causes the call to end after the specified time.

November 2007 Update:
This bug seems to have been resolved in recent updates to the Counterpath phones.
