The attached guide is for configuring Counterpath X-Lite, Eyebeam, & Bria Softphones for use with Aptela.

Important Notes:

1. X-Lite 3.x will not install on Windows 7. Windows 7 does have capabilities for using “compatibility” modes. When trying to do so, X-Lite will still not install correctly. Windows rejects the hooks being injected by X-Lite 3.x.
2. Headsets - You will need a USB compatible, two-plug headset to use with the softphone.  Aptela offers a range of headsets for use with Softphones. 
3. X-Lite will not work on the new Mac OS X Snow Leopard.  
4. Aptela has not yet tested X-Lite 4 in beta
