Snom 190 Configuration

Snom phones are not supported by Aptela, but users report an easy configuration and that the Aptela application works quite well.

The below instructions may help to get you through the initial configuration of your Snom 190 phone.

Getting started, the first assumption is that your router/gateway supports DHCP*. If it doesn’t, or if you have a static IP address, you will need to manually enter the appropriate network information for the phone.

  1. Make sure that your phone has the updated firmware. Go to http://www.snom.com for information on their latest firmware and instructions on installation.
  2. Plug the phone into power and into the ethernet port and wait for it to boot up
  3. During bootup, you should see the IP address of your phone on the screen. Write the IP address down as you will need to enter it again.
  4. Bring up a browser window on your computer, connected to the same network, and enter in the IP address as a destination. Example:  http://192.168.10.100
