Troubleshooting General SIP Phone Configuration
|
Most phone installation or registration issues arise when the phone's MAC Address / MAC ID is not assigned to an extension or when the phone settings are
not correct; however, your local network configuration may also cause
problems. If your pre-installed phone was reset or if you are experiencing phone registration issues (e.g., can't make or receive calls), please refer to our Phone Resources and select your phone's manufacturer. If your manufacturer is not listed, refer to our General SIP Phone Configuration Settings. Then follow the phone configuration instructions (as if you were configuring the phone for the first time) to re-establish or the update the settings. NOTE: Manufacturer-specific configuration troubleshooting instructions are available for Polycom and Aastra phones. If problems persist, have your IT administrator make sure your router or firewall settings are correct. |
