About the Attendant Transfer feature

Attendant Transfer is a call tree setting that routes all incoming calls, via your main number, to a user or department prior to it ringing your call tree.  This is useful for companies who prefer to have a receptionist answer the phone, but have the call tree as a back up if he/she is unable to take the call.



  1. Log in to http://www.aptela.com/my-account/ as the Account Operator
  2. Click on Settings from the Navigation Bar
  3. Under "Call Tree Settings", click on Attendant Transfer
  4. Choose the extension to route incoming calls to for your "Business Hours" calls
  5. If your company uses an Off Hours tree, and you wish to route callers to an extension after hours, choose the extension from the "Off Hours" pick list
  6. To disable either setting, choose "None" from the appropriate pick list
  7. Click Save
Tip:
  • We recommend disabling the extension's Custom Transfer Message as well as the "you may press pound at any time" audio when using the Attendant Transfer feature.  To learn how to make these changes, click here.
