How do I add a New User?

To create a New User:

Log in with the operator account information
Click on People. By default, you'll be in the Directory section.
Under Directory Commands (lower right), click on New User
From the pop-up window choose Power User for the Record Type then click Next.
Enter all the necessary information:

Go to Account Information:

Enter the First Name
Enter the Last Name
Enter an unassigned Extension number
Enter the user's company email address in the Personal Email field (this email address will be used, should the user forget the Password and needs it sent as a reminder)
Choose the Usage Pattern (this is the monthly service plan for the user)
Enter a User ID (this is the Username for the extension. The User ID is required to log in to the user's Aptela account)
Enter a Password (this must contain both letters and numbers. The Password is also required to log in to the user's Aptela account)
Enter a PIN (this must be four digits. The PIN is used to check voicemails)

Go to Find Me List:

If you are using Aptela's VoIP services, select the box under Default SIP Phone
If you are using Aptela's Virtual services, enter the phone number to be dialed under the Phone Number field and a description name in the Name field

(Optional) Go to Privacy/Call Screening

Uncheck the Call Screening and Announce Caller boxes. If you keep these checked, the caller will be prompted to say his name.

(Optional) Go to Notifications

To receive email notifications for any Calls, Voicemails, Announcements or Faxes to the extension check the Enabled and Include Content boxes, and enter the email address that should receive the notifications under Target Email Address. The Fax notifications will work only if you have a dedicated fax number for the extension.

Go to VoIP Settings

Enter the MAC Address of the phone. (If you are using a phone that does not auto-provision via the MAC Address, or if you are using Aptela for virtual services, this does not pertain to you)
