Call Tree Overview

The Call Tree is a menu driven auto-attendant comprised of "blocks". These blocks have functions that range from basic (transfer to department or user) to complex (enter a number and receive a fax).

As the Call Tree routes to departments and users, the caller's audio experience will include hearing audios triggered by the Call Tree auto-attendant and those trigger once transferred to the department or user.

Before making changes to your existing tree we recommend the following:
  • Write up a script of how you want your call tree to sound.
  • Design your routing flow on a pen & paper or in an application such as Visio.
  • Copy down your existing Call Tree settings.
  • Save all audio files from your existing Call Tree.
If you have any questions, please contact an Aptela representative and they can assist with any questions and provide tips on how to best accomplish your goals.

The Aptela Operator Guide has a complete overview on the Call Tree.
