Presence for User Extensions

Aptela's v5 business phone system includes user line presence. Many of our customers have asked for it and now we're pleased to announce that it's available!

User Line Presence displays the real-time status or "presence" of all user extensions within your account. With presence, you can see whether a user is "on" or "off" the phone, allowing you to determine if an individual is available - or busy on the phone - before you dial his/her extension.

How It Works:
To view a user's presence, log into your Aptela account with your user login.

  • Click on the Company Phonebook in the middle column of the User Dashboard.
  • The phone icon will be blue if the user is on the phone and gray if the user is off the phone.
  • Hover your mouse over the phone icon to view the Caller ID of the current call so that you can see if the user is on the phone with an outside party or another user extension.
  • Click on the extension to initiate a call with the user.
