How Gateway is Growing Their Business with Aptela’s Phone Service
One of the things I love most about my job is that I get to talk to our customers on a regular basis. This allows me to better understand how our customers use our service, what they really like, what they'd like to see improved, etc. Their customer experience starts with their first interaction and continues throughout their life with Aptela's business VoIP system.
I recently had the opportunity to interview Sam Archie, the owner of NY-based Gateway Recovery Associates about his recent upgrade to our new v5.0 platform. His "Aptela story" began about a year ago, when he established Gateway, a debt recovery business, with his business partner. When I asked him why he selected Aptela, he stated (without hesitation) "service flexibility...and competitive rates."
When I dug into his response, he said "I could not have afforded to start my business without Aptela. If I had required landlines, I would have lost money."
Is he using a lot of our cool features? Sure he is. Gateway uses Aptela's hosted PBX VoIP solution to:
- Manage high call volume-Incoming calls are blasted to all employee extensions.
- Enable telecommuting-Remote employees and telecommuters can seamlessly connect to the office - without anyone recognizing their remote work location.
- Add and delete employees from the system immediately-Archie can make changes to his Aptela account within minutes, meaning he only pays for the users and services he consumes.
- Present a consistent image-Every call carries the Gateway caller ID, even when the employee is calling from a home office.
But as an entrepreneur, he had to make sure he was spending every dollar he had wisely, right from the start. And he needed to make sure he could scale up...or down based upon Gateway's current needs. Today, Gateway employs 29 collectors and plans to double that number over the coming year. With Aptela, he's able to add/remove users whenever necessary, which saves him money and allows him to remain in total control. Learning that our phone service enabled him to open Gateway for business and that it continues to support his growth over the past year makes me proud! I love to hear success stories like this one.
