Aptela Feature Spotlight: Audio Conferencing

This week's Feature Spotlight focuses on Aptela Conferencing! For those that haven't heard about it before, Aptela offers an audio conferencing service that allows you to hold conference calls for up to 50 participants. All conference bridges are mapped to designated extensions for immediate conferencing. The conference bridge is easy to configure and has a dedicated extension and PIN, which can be changed at any time to increase security.

Aptela offers one bridge per user or department extension as part of the standard calling plans and are offered in four convenient bundles to meet your needs:

* The 250 Minute Plan is $9.99/month with our May Promotion (ends 5/31/11)

* The 500 Minute Plan is $19.99/month with our May Promotion (ends 5/31/11)

Curious about the metered plan? Let's break it down. Aptela's Metered Usage Plan lets you pay by the minute, which is perfect for customers with limited usage and/or initial account set up where you may not know what plan best meets your needs.

What about the minute bundles? They all offer flexibility based on your expected conferencing usage. You can change the plan at any time and there are no long-term commitments (no risk!).

Aptela's Conferencing Benefits:

  • Set up sales training, customer training or meetings without needing an expensive third party conference system
  • Set up conferences on the fly, anytime

Aptela's Conferencing Features:

  • Set up conferences on the fly, anytime
  • Facilitate conference calls small or large - up to 50 callers at one time
  • Each bridge is PIN protected, providing secure access to your conference calls
  • Allows extension dialing or direct dialing into your conference bridge

Aptela Garners Another Industry Award - Aptela v5 Recognized as Unified Communications Magazine's Product of the Year

April has been a great month here at Aptela! I'm proud to announce that Aptela's v5 Business-Class Phone Service has been named a recipient of TMC's 2010 Unified Communications Magazine Product of the Year award. This is the 2nd time this month we've been recognized, having just received word two weeks ago that we've been named a CODiE finalist for "Best Cloud Infrastructure Platform" alongside Salesforce.com, OpSource, LiveOps and NetSuite award.

These awards are major milestones for our company - 3rd party validation is hard earned. Aptela v5 continues to be recognized for usability (how it works), visual interface attributes (how it looks) ease of management, extensibility and overall innovation.

Ann Santorios, our Vice President of Product and Business Development said, "Aptela is proud to be recognized as an innovative leader in cloud communications." "Receiving the Unified Communications award reaffirms Aptela's mission to offer a powerful cloud-based platform, designed to address the core communications needs of the under-served small business customer."

Aptela Proud to be Recognized for Developing One of the Software Industry's Most Innovative Cloud Infrastructure Platforms

I'm very pleased to announce our recognition as a CODiETM finalist in the "Best Cloud Infrastructure Platform" category. Established by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiEs recognize excellence and achievement in the business software, digital content, and education technology industries, and are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program.

We are particularly proud to join software leaders Salesforce.comTM, LiveOps®, NetSuite® and OpSourceTM in this category.

This is a major milestone for our company - this peer-based recognition is hard earned. Our platform was rigorously evaluated based upon usability (how it works), visual interface attributes (how it looks) ease of management, innovation, extensibility, and even support (technical, customer, user support and assistance). Having Aptela recognized in the same category as the market leaders listed above is quite an accomplishment!

I encourage you to review the announcement here. And for more information about our awarding-winning calling platform, please visit our Aptela v5 Resource Center.

Aptela Featured in TMCnet Article - Hosted VoIP Provider Keeps Mobile Professionals on the Go

This month, Aptela was featured in a TMCnet Global Community article about how we help keep mobile professionals on-the-go day in and day out. VoIP technology has evolved to the point that companies throughout the world are leveraging this technology to streamline communications costs and integrate all operations in an all-IP environment. At the same time, mobility in the workplace is increasing as mobile workers now number more than 1 billion. With such a strong focus in this area, a number of companies are turning to the flexibility and scalability available in hosted VoIP.

As small businesses grow, the demand to extend mobile capabilities to more employees also grows. In addition, these users need real-time access to advanced applications, both of which are readily available on hosted VoIP platforms. Aptela (News - Alert) is a driving force in this space, supporting customers with a robust portfolio of mobility features on hosted VoIP platforms to keep employees going strong.

Let's take a look at Aptela's top 10:

Find Me List - Aptela's customer base consists of 53 percent of companies operating more than two business locations. In such environments, users can have their calls find them no matter what location from which they are working. This hosted VoIP provider enables customers to designate multiple numbers and forward calls.

Mobile Portal - customers can easily change the Find Me list while on the go, as well as access the office phone book and one-click calling from any smartphone. With the mobile portal, users can see all new voicemails, play voicemails and return calls; view the Find Me list and enable or disable numbers; and view the company phonebook.

Aptela Anywhere Menu - users easily save time and take care of business right from their mobile device as this hosted VoIP platform enables access to call management features while on the call, either at a desk or on a mobile phone.
