Aptela names Larry Barker Chief Executive Officer

Vienna, Va. – January 22, 2008

Aptela, Inc., a leading business VoIP and hosted communications provider, announced today that Larry Barker has been named Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Mr. Barker draws upon more than 25 years of broad leadership experience, with expertise in Sales & Marketing.  Prior to joining Aptela, Barker served as Chief Executive Officer of Argent Networks Ltd., where he led all aspects of the company’s growth.

Previously, Barker served as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Visual Networks, President of the Software Division at ADC Telecommunications, and President of the Telecommunications Software Division at CSC.

Mr. Barker holds a BS degree in business administration and speech communications from Augustana College, and serves as a Director of Telular, Inc., Interlink Electronics and is a Trustee at Augustana College.
