JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales organization. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the Network technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of Telephony Network Technologies. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized, analytical and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for:
- 3-5+ years relevant experience in telephony and/or software sales
- Experience and familiarity of VoIP products and line of business
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
- Requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent and 3 years of telecom industry solution selling experience
- Excellent written, listening and verbal communications skills and an ability to maintain strict professionalism in all client communication
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Subject matter expertise and ability to provide consultative support of Aptela’s products and services
