Outside Sales Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will use your business development skills to identify, qualify and build long-term profitable relationships with new accounts selling B2B telecom solutions, IP Telephony, Hosted PBX and converged technologies. We require a true hunter personality that can drive a high volume of sales call activity to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities. The ability to convert this pipeline into actual sales is necessary. Additionally, you must have demonstrated the ability to analyze a prospective business’s needs, identify solutions and present it in a professional proposal.

The Sales Executive is responsible for:

  • All aspects of sales cycle including prospecting, cold calling, product demonstrations and sales pitches, and closing
  • Analyzing customer needs and identifying solutions
  • Account life-cycle management & retention
  • Account growth via cross-selling and up-selling
  • Achieving sales targets through funnel development, consistent closing of leads and managing a book of business for add-on sales and referral business

REQUIRED SKILL SET & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to travel throughout the Baltimore/Washington area to customer-premises.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Energy, motivation, enthusiasm, integrity, and outstanding organizational time management skills
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills
  • “Hunter mentality” and desire to over achieve
  • 3-5 years experience in selling solutions in B2B environment preferred
  • Prior experience in the telecom or “software as a service” industries preferred with successful quota achievement
  • Possesses integrity, professional demeanor and is self-motivated.
  • Conduct live product demos (usually at customer premise) to support the selling process
  • Access product/technical information to support customers-Identify sources of sales leads and follow through on leads
  • Proven success in consistently achieving sales quotas and/or targets
  • Access product/technical information to support customers-Identify sources of sales leads and follow through on leads
  • Exceptional computing skills including; familiarity with MS Office and use of a CRM system
